Tamil Cinema has improvised a lot in terms of cinematography, music, editing and direction. But the concepts have never changed much. Tamil Heroines are always picturised as duffers..Why on earth all the heroines fall for a dumb/ rowdy/ useless hero? who does' nt have money for his own survival. In reality, even though when I earned sufficiently, I cut my budget for each and everything. It was not sufficient for luxury, but sufficient enough for my survival.
A very recent movie, portrayed a hero (without job) to throw a big birthday surprise for someone else fiance at midnight.!. How could he arrange/organise those light strings on trees, without the public noticing him? How did he offer all these?By taking money from his single mother? Shame on him! If somebody proposes a girl like this by taking money from others, the girl will 100% throw him away.(atleast when she comes to know it) Most of the girls from civilised families , these days, have been offered freedom to choose the partner. Before engagement itself , they start chatting with their fiance.Am surprised to see this movie as the girl was raised by parents who give her freedom to elope with the guy she want when she fights. Would'nt she had given her consent before itself? This hero dint do anything but all the time trying to impress the girl. What are the movies trying to teach the younger generation? Of course , not all in the younger generation is also dumb enough to believe this. But the movie does seed wrong motives to some of the youths in some corner. Poor innocent fellows believe this and end their lives.
The plot of the movie is about the young hero trying to woo a girl who is already engaged. Can the media/public criticise only the hero for acting in such a plot. Does'nt every1 in the movie be blamed for the same?If it is the hero's mistake for acting in such a plot, then the heroin should also be equally blamed to accept a role like this. The director, script writer etc....etc whomever is involved should equally be accused..Love may not require luxury.Life requires sufficient money atleast for survival, if not for luxury. Atleast every girl expects the bread and butter should be earned from husband's and her's hard earned money. The current generation does not shamelessly sit and eat with parent's money after they are grown up.So directors and actors, You also please grow up!
This particular actor and the movie are not the only ones that can be blamed. The iconic actors have also acted in similar plots. The worker/coolie in a factory loving the owner of the company, the girl should obviously be rude( because she is the owner of the factory)..Shouldnt be the super star blamed for the same, as he acted in many movies like this? The Heroes always are heroes, in reality even though they are duffers.
As it was told in one of the Tamil movies" Intelligent girls always love duffer boys", it may happen here and there.Life is not always about "Rich educated stupid girls and intelligent poor uneducated boys".
Movies have huge reponsibility in inspiring the youths. Many actors serve as a role model for them.So dear movie crews, You have a huge social responsibility.More than our army soldiers, more than our cops, more than our politicians, people believe you. None of the national leaders were offered "Palabishegam" like how you all were worshipped. When the kids in our country are starving, we spend lot of money in watching the movies. We are also not stupid enough to say that you all flourish in our money. We enjoy, get inspired, get entertained when we watch your movies. When we are mature and generous enough to say this, kindly be mature enough to show something good!
